Getting Here — Gunam-ro 18beon-gil, Haeundae
Basement of 24 Gunam-ro 18beon-gil — the building with a CU store — under 5 minutes on foot from Haeundae Station.
11pm – 9am · closed Sunday nights · B1, Gunam-ro, Haeundae
The address, and how to make it work
In English: B1, 24 Gunam-ro 18beon-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan. In Korean, which is what you should actually paste into a map app: 구남로18번길 24.
Korean addresses work from the larger unit down, and the beon-gil part is a numbered side street branching off a main road. Romanised versions of the same address differ slightly between apps, which is why entering the Korean string gives a cleaner result. It is also the thing to show a taxi driver rather than attempting the pronunciation.
The address alone will get you to the right stretch of road, but not necessarily to the right door. Buildings here sit shoulder to shoulder and the ground-floor tenants change often. Use the CU convenience store on the ground floor as the marker instead — that is the building, and the way in is the staircase going down beside it.

What to look for
Find the signage and the entrance in these photos. Taken August 2026 — the ground-floor tenant may have changed, but the signage and the staircase have not.
Finding the entrance
The signage reads Velvet HOST BAR in Roman letters, so it is legible from across the street even if you read no Korean.
The mistake first-time visitors make is consistent enough to be worth naming: the sign is high on the building and the entrance is below street level. People spot the sign, start looking for a door on the ground floor, and walk past the staircase. Once you have found the sign, look down rather than along.
At night the sign is lit and easy to pick out. During the day it is not, and the ground-floor shopfronts are what catch the eye instead, so an afternoon arrival is worth preparing for by glancing at the photos above first.
If you are standing on the street and still cannot see it, message us. Tell us what shop or sign you can see and we will tell you which way to walk. That takes about thirty seconds and saves walking the block twice.
From Haeundae Station
Busan Metro Line 2 to Haeundae Station, then walk toward the beach. It is under five minutes. Since we open at 11pm and close at 9am, most guests arrive after the metro has stopped running.
Come out of the station and follow Gunam-ro downhill toward the sea, then turn into 18beon-gil. Gunam-ro is the main commercial street in Haeundae — crowded, well lit until late, lined with shops the whole way. Getting the direction right is essentially the whole navigation problem; there is no complicated turn.
Public transport access to Haeundae is unusually simple for a seaside district. Line 2 runs across most of the city, and Sasang, Seomyeon, Suyeong, Gwangan, Centum City, BEXCO and Haeundae all sit on it. From a large part of Busan you can reach Haeundae without changing trains. If you are on another line, Seomyeon connects Line 1 to Line 2, Suyeong and Deokcheon connect Line 3, and BEXCO connects the Donghae Line.
⚠ Transit arrangements change. Check a map app for live routing when you actually travel — the information here reflects October 2026 and is graded as secondary-source.
From Gimhae International Airport
Take the Busan–Gimhae Light Rail to Sasang, change to Line 2, and stay on it to Haeundae Station. One change.
That works because Sasang is where the light rail meets Line 2. Once you are on Line 2 there is nothing more to think about until you arrive.
With luggage, a taxi is the better call. It costs more and removes every staircase and interchange from the journey, which matters at the end of a long flight. Arriving late is not a problem on our side — we open at 11pm and run to 9am, so a delayed flight does not cost you the evening.
Either way, message us once you are in Haeundae and we can pick you up from there.
By taxi
Show the driver the Korean address rather than saying it. Have 구남로18번길 24 on your phone screen before you get in.
Pronouncing a Korean street address from a romanisation rarely lands, and most drivers would rather read it. If the side street still does not register, the CU convenience store on Gunam-ro is a serviceable fallback — it is a known point on a well-known street.
Late at night a taxi is often the only option anyway, since the metro stops running well before we do. Going back is easier than coming: this is central Haeundae, taxis circulate through the night, and the main road is thirty seconds from our door.
Parking
There is no dedicated car park for the building. Street parking nearby is permitted from 22:00 to 07:00 only.
That window lines up well with when we are open. We start at 11pm, by which point street parking is already available, and it only runs out at 7am — so it is leaving after 7am, not arriving, that sends you to a paid car park.
There are several nearby — this is a dense commercial district — but we do not operate any of them and their rates and hours differ, so we will not recommend one. A map app will give you current options faster than this page could.
Worth stating plainly: this is a venue where people drink. If you drive here you are not driving home. Most guests take a taxi or use the pick-up and collect the car another day.
Pick-up
Within Haeundae we can collect you. Message us where you are and we will arrange it.
Getting there from a hotel is the easy case. If you are at a hotel, by the station or near the beach — anywhere inside the district — this is available and it is the easiest option at night or with a group. Just send the hotel name or a location.
The limit is the district boundary. We do not drive outside Haeundae, so from elsewhere in Busan or from the airport you make your own way here first, and pick-up works from whatever point you reach inside Haeundae.
That is the route. What happens after you arrive is in room, host, songs, settling up, and the cost structure is in what the four items mean. Opening hours are listed on the English overview.

Questions about getting here
I am on the street and cannot find the entrance.
Message us and say what shop or sign you can see — we will tell you which way to walk, and that usually takes under a minute. The reason this happens is consistent: the signage is mounted high on the building while the entrance is the staircase below street level, so people spot the sign and then look for a ground-floor door. Once you have found the sign, look down rather than along.
What should I show the taxi driver?
The Korean address — 구남로18번길 24 — on your phone screen. Saying a romanised Korean address aloud rarely works and most drivers would rather read it. If the side street still does not register, the CU convenience store on Gunam-ro works as a fallback, since it is a known point on a well-known street. Within Haeundae a taxi is the simplest way to arrive.
How far does the pick-up go, and where do I wait?
Within Haeundae, yes. Send us the hotel name or your location and we will arrange it — useful at night, or when there are several of you. We do not drive outside the district, so if you are staying elsewhere in Busan or coming from the airport, travel to Haeundae first and message us once you are here; pick-up works from any point inside the district.
How long is the walk from Haeundae Station?
Under five minutes. From the station you follow Gunam-ro towards the beach and there is almost nothing to turn off for, so first-time visitors do not usually get lost. That timing comes from walking it ourselves in August 2026. With luggage, or waiting for the rest of your party, allow a little more.
What does the sign say?
Velvet HOST BAR, with the Korean name beside it. It hangs above the stairway down, so looking up is what finds it. There is a photograph of the sign on this page; a glance at it before you set out makes the building much easier to pick out. The photo was taken in August 2026 and is unretouched.
What is on the ground floor?
A CU convenience store. That is the right building, and our entrance is the basement of it. When the side-street address is proving hard to place, that store is the most reliable landmark to aim for. Guests sometimes walk past because the sign is not visible from the pavement at street level.
Do I go downstairs?
Yes, we are one floor below. The ground floor is the convenience store and we are underneath it. The stairway down is the entrance and the sign sits above it. People do look for a door at street level and walk on, which is why it is written out here. At the bottom you will see the entrance straight ahead.
Is there parking?
There is no car park of our own. Street parking nearby is permitted for part of the night, so that is the option if you drive. The exact stretch is decided by the signage on the street, so check it when you arrive. Late at night a taxi is easier, and inside Haeundae we can collect you.
When is street parking allowed?
Between 10pm and 7am, a nine hour window. We open at 11pm, so the two overlap for most of the evening, but parking ends at 7am while we stay open until 9am. Leaving those last two hours clear is the safe approach. The street signage is what sets the exact boundaries.
Which subway line is it?
Line 2, Haeundae Station. Anywhere on Line 2 reaches us without changing. From Line 1 change at Seomyeon; from Line 3 change at Suyeong or Deokcheon. Line 2 cuts across most of the city, so a large part of Busan is a single ride away from here.
How do I get here from Gimhae Airport?
Light rail to Sasang, then Line 2. That is one change, and from Sasang it runs straight through to Haeundae Station. With a lot of luggage a taxi can be easier. Guests do come directly from the airport, so tell us your arrival time and we will work around it.
Will I find a taxi going back?
This is an easy place to find one. Gunam-ro is central in Haeundae and there is taxi traffic through the night. The hours when the subway has stopped are our busiest, so getting home is rarely the difficult part. If your destination is hard to explain, ask us before you leave.
If your question is not here, ask us on WhatsApp and we will answer it directly. Messages are read outside opening hours too.
